Resilience School Award Scheme cum Ambassador Training Program

From March 2024 to March 2026, a total of 88 primary and secondary schools and 660 parents participated in the “Family Resilience(FR) Ambassador Training Program”. Parents participants completed a five-session training workshops at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and subsequently engaged in at least 4 practicum sessions within their respective schools. After finishing all the training and practicum, the participants would be invited to participate in Ambassador Ceremony at PolyU.

The subjective outcome evaluation showed that the Ambassador Training Program was highly successful among FR Ambassadors. The program reached a 99–100% satisfaction rate ( ≥98% affirmed clear objectives, and ≥99% praised the engaging atmosphere) among the participants.  More than 98% of the respondents reported personal benefits, with notable improvements in family resilience knowledge (≥99%), positive beliefs (≥99%), application motivation (≥98%), and activity organization skills (≥99%).

The results of quasi-experimental analysis (330 participants in the experimental group and 256 in the control group) showed that compared to those in the control group, participants in the experimental group had significant improvements in family resilience, marital satisfaction, parent-child conflict, mental health, hopelessness, flourishing, and self-efficacy.

The Effectiveness of the Services Provided by the FR Ambassadors (Benefit Others)

From March 2024 to March 2026, the FR Ambassadors have organized 238 programs, promoting family resilience in their respective schools, with the help of our collaborating NGOs. The number of bneficiaries was nearly 19,000. The programs were highly rated, with item mean scores exceeding 5.29 (out of 6) and positive response rates above 97% across all items.
